Bacolod Chk-n-BBQ House recently opened in Doha so we decided to try their famous Chicken Inasal. A 1 kilometer walk from home was all it took and we were ready to gulp on some inasal.
The gulaman was very dull with no hint of sweetness at all. For a Filipino restaurant, I was expecting a bit more on the gulaman, especially if this is what you see in their menu:
The place was half-full with Filipinos (of course) when we got there. Some just got off work and some with kids from school.
The service was quite slow, we had to wait some 20 minutes before the first of our orders came.

We started off with some Crispy Chicken Skin, which a friend of ours recommended. It was a little too crispy and very hard to munch on and you have to mix your own dip for it with the provided soy sauce and vinegar (which was fine by me).

Perfect for the cold weather? Yes! Served hot? Not so much. In this very cold climate, we were expecting to have some hot soup, but what came to us was a warm one and since we already had to wait a certain amount of time, we were in no mood to send it back again.

| Bacolod Chicken Inasal QR25 |
Served with garlic topped Java Rice and a side of ensalada. The chicken was marinated well but I think that this is a bit overpriced at QR25 for a single, small piece of chicken leg. I know they say that quality is always better than quantity but for this case, I don't think that is appropriate. So I'm giving this a 2/5.

Talk about false advertising. They really let me down, and after that small piece of chicken, I am totally disappointed with the whole place. You wouldn't see us coming back anytime soon.
