I know it’s the perfect weather to dine al fresco in Doha but the interiors of The French Olive is just too beautiful to take for granted. The rich designs and patterned floors made me fall inlove with this place right away. And did I mention that I'm a sucker for mismatched furniture - which this place has done perfectly. The only problem I could see here is their huge wooden main double doors. It was hiding the beauty of the place and we almost thought they were still closed when we came at around 7:00 pm. Nonetheless, everything was done perfectly.
We skipped startes and went straight to mains. The hubster ordered Risotto al Pollo and I opted for a dish called Branzino which (as stated on menu) is sea bass with risotto in peas.
We could smell the aroma of our food - hungry as we were - even before we saw them coming. Talk about teasing, right? The sea bass smelt so inviting, I could feel the anticipation building up when I saw our server heading to our table with our food.

The chicken was very tender and juicy and the skin was extra crispy. Honestly, I was expecting the chicken to be paired with mushroom risotto but the creamy risotto was perfectly fine.

The sea bass and pea risotto was amazing, I'm not actually a fan of green peas but it went really well with the risotto. It was served with an assortment of roasted vegeatbles.
Too bad we were full after the meal to try their cakes/dessert. I find myself always facing this problem. Maybe I should do dessert first the next time, what do you think? The staff was very warm and accomodating and gave us huge smiles while serving us. I would definitely come back here to try dessert. Aside from the mains, which realy is worth going back to, I also saw some breakfast items on the menu, so that's also something worth trying.
