I'm not really a fan of tea - I actually consider myself a coffee person. But when you add milk into the picture, I may consider. Milk tea has grown popularly in the Philippines, there are milk tea shops all around the Metro. I can still remember a time when there was only Quickly to satisfy our milk tea cravings.

My sister is an avid fan of milk tea and has dragged me to one shop, Teasome Place in Il Centro (can you believe this place was just a parking lot the last time I was here.) There was also the traffic situation in the area, so we had to find a place to hang out and let the traffic die down a bit before we went home.


The interior is very fun. I love the wood textures and the greens (fake, but it adds life to the place) that were used to create a sort of homey feel. The mismatched furniture was also spot on.

Choco-Banana Milk Tea Php95.00 & Wintermelon Snow Php100.00

I was originally looking forward to the Choco-Mint milk tea, unfortunately mint was not available. I was happy with my Choco-Banana, nonetheless. My sister had a Wintermelon Snow which had some rock salt and cream cheese in the mixture. I pretty much did not like the salty taste but she loved it. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

They also have some snack items on their menu which was good to share. We had some potato wedges - just because I love them - and some Chicken Chops. The Chicken Chops reminded me of a certain snack we always had during grade school days, but I can't exactly point a finger on what it is. It's basically peppered chicken strips but are a perfect match to the milk tea.

I'm definitely going back, even just for the Chicken Chops.

Everything was at Php20.00 which is really a very good buy. Although, there were some issues regarding organization and foot-traffic flow, but I think that you only get what you paid for.

• Use the bathroom before you leave the house. They have a toilet inside the warehouse but the line is crazy and I can't assure you of the cleanliness.
• Bring a bag or a box where you can put your purchase/s.
• Bring a sanitizer/wipes/alcohol. You'll need one when you're finished going through the books.
• Wear comfortable clothes. It can get really rough inside the warehouse so it would be better if you could move comfortably.
• Bring an extra dose of PATIENCE. Believe me, you'll need it.

My dad's a huge fan of Mongolian buffets and since its very rare that he is in Manila these days - he's in the South most of the time and came home just for our vacation - it was time for another Mongolian dinner.


What I love about this place is that they have cheats for the sauces. Whether you're into something sweet or spicy, they give you the perfect sauce mixtures to obtain the taste you want. Of course, you can also play around with the sauces.


They also offer cakes and other pastry items - we ordered a Sanrival Cake to-go because we were so full from the buffet.

Single bowl Mongolian Dinner costs Php260.00 and buffet Mongolian Dinner costs Php360.00. If you're not into Mongolian style meals, then you can check out their ala carte meal items here.

You can find Sweet Inspirations Cafe along Katipunan Ave., in front of Ateneo de Manila. They are open from 6:00am to 11:00pm daily. It can be very busy especially during dinner time and parking is very scarce.

We have just recently moved into a new flat and we are as exhausted as a marathoner but we are super excited about this move. There was absolutely no plans of moving in our minds. We were very happy with our old place and giddy with excitement as we plan for our vacation this August. Little did we know that God has something in store for us.

In short, all our vacation plans went down the drain and replaced entirely by what God planned for us.

There's also the bit about looking for a place for Marco and Dexi while we are away. Of course there are pet boarding facilities here, but it costs a fortune. We were already preparing ourselves (or should I say our pockets) for the amount we were about to pay, but God has another surprise for us. He sent someone who works in a vet to look after our babies. He'll be in charge of feeding them and walking them on a daily basis and we are so relieved to have met him.

We are very thankful to God for this major revamp. I believe it may completely change our lifestyle and we are looking forward to the challenges ahead because we believe that these blessings come with no trouble to them.

I know that P.F. Chang's opened a few month back here in Doha; and I hear different impressions from everyone whose ever tried it. One thing I hear (or read) most of the time is the very long wait before you can get a table. So, I've decided to let the hype die down a bit before we try the place out. And I must say it was a very smart decision. Aside from the fact that we avoided the long queuing, there was also the chance for them to polish their services - another one of the bad feeds that I've been reading about.


The hubster and I was seated right away (might be because there were only 2 of us) contrary to the word of an hour's waiting time.

Dynamite Shrimp QR47

Of course, we had to try the very famous Dynamite Shrimp. We were a little hesitant at first because we are not fans of spicy food, but these things were absolutely amazing. That plus the fact that it was served at our table a mere 3 minutes was just unbelievable. They must be making these in volumes just to be ready.

Mongolian Beef QR71

The Mongolian Beef is another favorite, as far as I know. So, of course, we had to try it. The thin slices of caramelized beef tossed with scallions were wonderful. I love how the beef was very tender and easy to chew on. It was very savory with a hint of sweetness which we both loved. And it comes with a bowl of brown or white rice.

Singapore Street Noodles QR 48

The Singapore Street Noodles was a bit bland but when mixed with the right sauces (served in the table at the start of the meal), it could be more interesting. Thin rice noodles tossed with shrimp, chicken strips, tomatoes, cilantro and garlic.

Servings were good for 2-3 people (if you're not that hungry.) I can definitely see ourselves back here but not in the very near future.
